Our hardware

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X

Clock speed is everything for game server performance. We run the fastest game server hardware available.

5.7 GHzBoost Clock

The highest single-thread clock speed on the market. Directly translates to less lag.

16Cores

32 threads handling your server, mods, plugins, and player connections simultaneously.

DDR5Memory

Next-gen memory with higher bandwidth. Faster chunk loading, smoother gameplay.

NVMeSSD Storage

Your world loads instantly. No spinning disks, no waiting, no bottlenecks.

A game server running at 5.7GHz will always outperform one running at 3.5GHz. That's why every Server Heron game server runs on the Ryzen 9 9950X.

Why does clock speed matter for game servers?

A game server does most of its work on one core, one step at a time. Every tick it has to move the world, handle combat, and update players before the next one starts, and that main loop can't be spread across cores. So how smoothly it runs comes down to how fast a single core gets through each tick. The other cores still help, running side jobs like world generation, backups, and mods at the same time.

In simple terms

A CPU core works like a cashier. Five slow cashiers can get through more customers at once than one fast cashier can. But a game server mostly deals with one long order at a time, and one cashier has to handle it start to finish. Extra tills can't take part of that order, so what matters is how fast that one cashier works. A CPU only has so many cores, so we run the fastest ones we could get.

What every plan includes

Every plan includes everything on this list. Bigger plans add more memory, CPU, and disk.

  • No player slot limits

Every plan gives you full access to the hardware you pay for. You set max-players in your server config. We do not add an artificial cap.

  • Free custom subdomain

Pick a free address like yourserver.serverheron.com at checkout, so players connect to a name instead of an IP.

  • DDoS protection included

Network-level DDoS mitigation runs on all servers from day one. Always active, no extra cost, no setup required.

  • Full file access

Access every file on your server through the built-in file manager. Upload mods, world saves, and custom configs directly.

  • Pelican control panel

Your server runs inside Pelican, an open-source game panel. Console, backups, startup settings, and file management in one place.

  • Enterprise cloud hardware

All servers run on dedicated cloud infrastructure located in Europe. High-frequency CPUs and SSD storage on every machine.

About Minecraft Java hosting

Minecraft Java Edition, hosted and ready

ServerHeron runs your Minecraft Java server on dedicated European cloud hardware with high-frequency CPUs and SSD storage. Pick an edition, choose a plan, and you are online in minutes with everything already configured.

Vanilla or Paper, your choice

Run Vanilla for the official Mojang game on the latest release, or Paper when you want plugin support and stronger performance for a busy server. The settings that matter — PvP, difficulty, gamemode, world seed, and MOTD — are yours to set right at checkout, and you can change them any time from the panel.

Full control from day one

Every server includes complete file access through the Pelican control panel. Upload worlds, drop in configs, edit server.properties, and manage your server straight from the browser. Your connection address is ready the moment provisioning finishes, so friends can join right away.

Built to stay online

DDoS protection runs on every server from the moment it boots, and your world keeps running around the clock so players can jump in whenever they like.

Common questions

Quick answers to common questions.

What is the difference between Vanilla and Paper?

Vanilla is the official Minecraft game exactly as Mojang ships it, always on the latest version. Paper is a performance-focused build that supports Bukkit and Spigot plugins and handles more players with less lag.

Can I add plugins?

On Paper, yes — upload them through the file manager in the control panel. Vanilla runs the pure game without plugins, and full mod loaders like Forge and Fabric run on a dedicated modded setup.

How many players can my server hold?

You set the player limit yourself, and your capacity depends on the resources of your plan. Each plan lists a recommended player count to help you pick the right size.

How do players join my server?

Your connection address appears in your dashboard and in your welcome email as soon as the server is ready. Share it with your friends and they can connect straight away.

Can I change my world settings later?

Yes. PvP, difficulty, gamemode, seed, and more are set at checkout and editable any time from the panel through server.properties and full file access.
