Why does clock speed matter for game servers?
A game server does most of its work on one core, one step at a time. Every tick it has to move the world, handle combat, and update players before the next one starts, and that main loop can't be spread across cores. So how smoothly it runs comes down to how fast a single core gets through each tick. The other cores still help, running side jobs like world generation, backups, and mods at the same time.
A CPU core works like a cashier. Five slow cashiers can get through more customers at once than one fast cashier can. But a game server mostly deals with one long order at a time, and one cashier has to handle it start to finish. Extra tills can't take part of that order, so what matters is how fast that one cashier works. A CPU only has so many cores, so we run the fastest ones we could get.

How many players can join my server?
Up to 16 players, which is Enshrouded's own limit. You choose the number of slots yourself, and each plan lists a recommended player count to help you pick the right size.
Can I bring my existing world?
Yes. Upload your save through the file manager in the control panel and your group carries on where you left off.
How do my friends join?
Your server shows up in Enshrouded's in-game server list. Friends search for your server name and enter the password if you set one.
Can I change the difficulty and game settings?
Yes. Pick a difficulty preset or tune the settings yourself, and change them any time from the panel.
Is my world backed up?
Yes. Every plan includes three free backups, so you can roll back in one click if something goes wrong.
Why rent a server instead of hosting from my own PC?
A rented server keeps your world online when you log off, so friends can play whenever they want. Your own PC and internet connection stay free for playing.
Does my world keep running when nobody is online?
Yes. Your server runs around the clock, so the world is there the moment anyone logs in.
Can I make my server private?
Yes. Set a password in the panel and only players who have it can join.
Can I download my world?
Yes. You have full file access through the control panel and SFTP, so you can download your save any time.
Where are the servers located?
Our servers run in Europe on AMD Ryzen 9 9950X hardware with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage, for low latency across the EU.
How fast is my server online?
Within minutes. Once your payment goes through, your server is set up automatically and your connection details show up in your dashboard.
Do you charge per player slot?
No. You pay for the plan, not the number of players. Pick the plan that fits your group and set your own player limit.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Plans are billed monthly and you can cancel from your dashboard whenever you want. Your server stays online until the end of the period you paid for.
